Sunday Judging Guidelines:
At the time of the judging, students will be required to:
Students should be prepared to explain and demonstrate the highlights of their project in no more than 15 minutes. Projects are evaluated by the judges to determine the best project in that category. The judges use several instruments for making their evaluation. Judges will provide each student with a feedback form listing strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions of each project. Actual scoring materials will NOT be released. Judges will use a rubric constructed for each specific category. Rubrics are used by judges to help determine the rankings, but are not hard "scores." They are only part of the overall evaluation process. Rubrics are also a good guide for students to prepare for judging. Since we no longer require notebooks, judges will disregard the row on the rubric referring to notebooks. Click here to view a sample Judge's packet used when scoring a project.
