Internet Access may not be provided or reliable.

The NAJSTF attempts to use as many computers at the location as needed, so students are not required to bring their own.

However, depending on the student's project, it may necessary for the student to provide their own computer.  This may be because of the software used or some hardware consideration.

General purpose computers will be provided.  Several Mac books will also be available the day of the fair.

Software Installed includes:

  • HyperStudio
  • Pixie
  • Inspiration 7 and 8
  • Windows Movie Maker
  • Microsoft Word 2007
  • Microsoft Excel 2007
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2007
  • Microsoft Publisher 2007
  • Paint
  • Photoshop Elements
  • Premier Elements

Tables for those students bringing their computers will be provided.

Any other equipment needed, such as computers, monitors, cables, VCRs, TVs, laser discs, CD-ROMs, multi-outlet power strips, extension cords, etc., must be provided by the participants.

No projection devices may be used. All software used in the project must be pre-loaded on the computers. Peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, or cameras are not necessary at the fair unless they help in the presentation. However, students must be able to describe how these devices were used if asked by judges.

Students and schools are responsible for the safety and security of their equipment and software, not the fair host.
